According to the Times of India website, gastroenterologist Dr. Saurabh Sethi noted that certain fruits for colon health are rich in compounds that are effective in reducing inflammation, supporting digestion, and can protect cells from cancerous changes.

Dr Sethi said citrus fruits are rich in flavonoids and vitamin C, which help neutralize harmful free radicals in the intestines.
